This exhibition is Bay Area artist Milton Bowen’s first showing in San Francisco and is a collection of three solo exhibitions. Blood on the Fields, What Becomes of A Broken Soul, and Trying to Find My Way Home are Bowen’s most controversial exhibitions and combined together comprise a unique, soulful and thought provoking artistic expression of fine art addressing issues that are socially and racially important to the contemporary African American society.  These provocative and confrontational exhibitions shown together at the African American Art and Culture Complex not only showcase Bowen’s insurmountable artistic talent, but also allows his commentary about the conditions and circumstances of African Americans in today’s society to be heard and acknowledged.
