Black Family Reunion is an African American Tradition here at the AAACC.
This year we celebrate Juneteenth by bringing our entire community together for one night of Black Excellence, Black Art, Black Music, Black Food and Black Love
We will have and amazing night of entertainment activated on our 1st and 3rd floor.
First Floor: Receptions for the organization we support as their fiscal sponsor.
San Francisco Black Film Festival and Queer Cultural Center. Both Organizations have started their annual Festival and in celebration of their amazing work we are hosting a reception for them in our Foyer. Food and Drinks Provided.
In the Sargent Johnson Gallery we present Juke City: An Immersive Art Experience Celebrating the Harlem of the West. From the 1920’s -1950’s, San Francisco was home to a vibrant Black culture that made SF a destination. Music and activism was born here and now we will celebrate that black history with a night of art, music, curated cocktails with a Juke Joint vibe. Dressing up in 1920’s-40’s attire is strongly suggested.
RedBone Burlesque will be doing pop up performances on both floors this evening.
Third Floor: Casino Nights with Roulette, Craps and Card Tables for your gaming pleasure. Soul Food, Drinks and Dessert. Storytelling by SF Seniors.
