Meet Helen

 

Helen Branham is an esteemed community economic development and small business management professional of 20+ years, with expertise in supporting African American and women of color entrepreneurs. Her areas of specialty include business plans, and marketing strategies to grow their businesses. She founded the nationally recognized Enterprising Women! business training and mentorship program serving 200 women of color in the Western Addition/Fillmore community and beyond. Her expertise with program development has led to nationally recognized innovative programs  including the award- winning SF Community Benefits Business Development Training Program serving  hundreds of Western Addition residents and small businesses, expanding business and employment  opportunities for the community, SF Mobile Food and Artisan Marketplace Training Program, the Buzz on  Biz youth entrepreneurship training serving 100 Western Addition youth and The Fillmore Holiday  Marketplace. Her most current program development efforts have been the Mastermind of Enterprising Creatives Artist Training Program at African American Art & Culture Center.  

 

Helen is a recognized leader who can quickly diagnose organizational matters, get to the heart of an issue and make effective decisions. She is a visionary with a demonstrated capacity to think systematically and tactically to create an agenda for change. She currently works as an Economic Development/small business management consultant to public and private organizations helping to develop strong community-based programs and helping to build organizational and community capacity.
